CLIP Intermodal Terminal to triple its handling capacity

The facility, located in west-central Poland, will receive four new tracks, each 750 m-long, three rail-mounted gantry cranes (capable of serving six trains simultaneously) will be installed, while the storage yard will grow from 4.5k to 10k TEUs.

Thanks to the nearly PLN202.3m-big project (approx. €45.1m), partly financed from the EU Cohesion Fund and due for completion in Q1 2021, the terminal's annual handling capacity will increase to 533k TEUs. It will be possible to take care of up to 20 trains/day.

The company is at the same time adding capacity to the nearby CLIP Group Logistics Park in Swarzędz. A ninth warehouse will be erected, 30k m2-big and 12 m-tall. The company plans to have 520k m2 of warehousing space in place by year-end.
