As of 2 November, the Copenhagen-Frederikshavn-Oslo route will be served by a single ro-pax (Pearl Seaways), instead of two (Crown Seaways), with departures every second day as opposed to daily.

The move comes as a result of further tightening of travel restrictions due to the rising number COVID-19 infections.

"Due to a union agreement covering reduction of work hours and salary as well as use of overtime hours and transferral of employees to other ferries, the number of redundancies is restricted to 20 waiters on board," the shipping line specified in a press release.
