DFDS inks another freighter

The Danish shipping company has entrusted the Chinese Jinling Shipyard for the delivery of a sixth 6,700 lane metres of cargo capacity ro-ro vessel.

The first two new ro-ros are expected to be received at the beginning of next year, the third and fourth in the second half of 2019, and the last two in the first half of 2020.

In addition, DFDS will in 2021 take in three brand-new ro-paxes - two of its own, to be deployed in the Baltic Sea, and one chartered from Stena, to enter traffic in the English Channel. Meanwhile, two other DFDS' ferries will be lengthened.
