Faergen is selling out its Bornholm fleet

Following the cessation of its concession to serve ferry traffic to and from the Island of Bornholm, the Rønne-based shipping company is letting go of a number of vessels.

First, already back in July 2016, the company sold the ro-pax Povl Anker (515 lane metres of cargo capacity, space for 1,500 passengers) to Molslinjen, who will take care of Bornholm traffic as of September 2018 for another 10 years.

Next, in December the same year, the high speed ro-pax catamaran Leonora Christina (300 lm, 1,400 pax) was transferred to the Spanish Ferry Gomera (Fred. Olsen) for an undisclosed sum.

Now, Færgen also vended for EUR 22 mln the ferry Hammerodde (1,500 lm, 400 pax) to StenaRoRo.

Till next year's September, the above-mentioned ferries will sail for Færgen under charter agreements, Hammerodde on the Rønne-Køge line, Leonora Christina between Rønne and Ystad, while Povl Ankeracross the Rønne-Mukran (Sassnitz) route.
