Kaliningrad Railways, a subsidiary of Russian Railways, and the Port of Oslo have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at establishing a multimodal link between China and Norway.

The parties will now work on ironing the service's details, including whether to establish a direct sea connection that would go from Kaliningrad/Baltiysk to the Norwegian capital port or, alternatively, go through one of the transshipment ports in Northern Europe that has already Oslo included in its network.
