Gdynia's new ferry terminal - completed

The PLN292m-big investment (€63.4m), co-financed by the EU (PLN116.8m/€25.3m), was officially commissioned and is ready to welcome ships up to 240 m in length.

The new facility lies closer to the open sea than the older terminal, making it possible to handle ship calls within two hours (from mooring to exiting the port).

The Public Ferry Terminal offers a shore power connection (3.5 MW) for vessels (11kV 50Hz/60Hz) to draw energy from the grid while berthed. Gdynia has thus become the first port in Poland to offer cold ironing.
