Nerthus - launched
2024-04-09
The all-electric passenger-car ferry for the Danish Alslinjen (subsidiary of Molslinjen) has been launched at the Turkish Cemre Shipyard, with delivery planned for later in August.
The 116.8-m long ferry will offer room for 600 passengers and 188 vehicles across the Fynshav-Bøjden crossing.
Nerthus will feature technology for automatic docking and charging its 3.1MWh battery system (supplied by Echandia).
Cemre Shipyard is also constructing Tyrfing, a sister ship for the Ballen-Kalundborg link (as the service is longer, she'll have a bigger battery pack of 3.8MWh).
