DBO Bahnoperator, Metrans, PKP CARGO, and UTLC ERA are trialling a New Silk Road rail service between Hsinchu and Hamburg via Kaliningrad and then Poland.

It took 11 days for the pilot to go from China to the Russian exclave. The set comprised 86 TEUs loaded with clothing, shoes, consumer goods, electronic equipment, and auto parts.

Should there be sufficient demand, the parties intend run the service twice a week.
