PKP CARGO CONNECT to transport sugar for KSC

The daughter company of PKP CARGO has signed a ten-year-long contract for rail & road shipments of sugar from KSC's inland facilities to the company's export terminal in the Port of Gdańsk.

Some 2.0mt are expected to be transported over the 2021-2030 period.

"We have approached our partners from KSC with a tailored sugar transport solution where containers specifically designed for carrying dry bulk goods will be used. This, in turn, required addressing a set of technological issues, including, among other things, a different load- and unloading system, the inner coating, how to deal with condensation, as well as the container's payload and tare," Ivan Ružbacký, CEO, PKP CARGO CONNECT, shared some of the details.
