Stena Line to launch a new service in the Baltic

As of 1 February 2022, the ferry company's Urd, offering room for 186 passengers and 1,600 lane metres of cargo capacity, will be sailing three times per week between Hanko and Norvik.

She will be joined by her sister ship Stena Gothica on 1 May 2022, turning the new 13 hr-long crossing into a weekly one.

"It is a real pleasure to welcome Stena Line in Hanko. As a leading port for efficient transport routes and at a central location in southern Finland, we share Stena Line's goal of building sustainable transport chains in the Baltic. Hanko is a key hub for trade and industrial products, the automotive industry and export of forest industry products. The new route extends our connections to key target markets in Sweden," Anders Ahlvik, Managing Director, the Port of Hanko, commented.

Fredrik LindstÄl, Chair of the Ports of Stockholm's Board, added, "We warmly welcome the new route between Hanko in Finland and NynÀshamn in Sweden. We are very happy about our long-term multi-year collaboration with Stena Line and that they have chosen to expand in a major way and invest in our new port in Stockholm Norvik."
