Stena Line's Baltic fleet: one in, one out

The Swedish company's newest E-Flexer, Stena Ebba, will replace Stena Vision on the Gdynia-Karlskrona ferry service, with the latter joining Stena Horizon across the Cherbourg-Rosslare crossing in the summer of 2023.

Constructed by China Merchants Jinling Shipyard (Weihai), Stena Ebba left Far East Asia (with a shipment of electric vehicles for unloading in the UK) for the Baltic this November.

On 22 November 2022, Stena Ebba reached via Karlskrona Remontowa's shipyard in GdaƄsk, where she will receive the finishing touches before joining her sister ship Stena Estelle as well as Stena Spirit on the Gdynia-Karlskrona route on 2 January 2023.

Both new E-Flexers are the biggest ferries in Stena Line's fleet: 240 m long and 28 m wide, GT 48k, each offering room for 1,200 passengers and 3,600 lane metres for cargo.

Next summer, Stena Vision (2,400 pax, 2,214 lane metres) will sail together with Stena Horizon (970 pax, 2,250 lm) between France and Ireland, doubling the connection's weekly frequency to 12 round trips.

Stena Nordica (405 pax, 1,950 lm), which used to ply as Gdynia-Karlskrona's fourth vessel, will serve as a backup ferry.
