Stena Scandica to shortly sail between Ventspils and Nynäshamn

The modernised ferry of Stena Line, lengthened by 36 metres at the Turkish Sedef Shipyard, arrived in the Latvian Port of Ventspils on 29 June.

Stena Scandica is now 222 m-long and offers room for 970 passengers (across 202 cabins) and 2,875 lane metres of freight capacity.

The vessel is modified with drive-through capabilities on two levels to increase the loading efficiency.

Stena Scandica is also equipped with a hybrid scrubber, a ballast water cleaning system, and a twisted leading edge rudder with a costa bulb.

She is going to be joined on the route in question by another ferry that was also jumboised.
