TSG goes for Lynx

TSG Terminal UK, part of the Swedish Thor Svecon Group, has contracted the Gothenburg-based tech company Surikat to implement their software as a service terminal operating system.

Lynx will help TSG by digitalising their container handling terminal operations in the Port of Hull. The software will increase operational efficiency through yard management, improve transparency with real-time views of all inventory on the terminal, and lessen manual customs handling via integration with the port community system Destin8.

"We are delighted to welcome TSG Terminal to our expanding family of maritime customers. We are particularly pleased to be working with TSG as our first container-only terminal for short sea shipping. We see great potential for Lynx to help with day-to-day operations, and our implementation team is well underway with the project. We very much appreciate TSG's confidence in Surikat and Lynx, and we look forward to a long and prosperous collaboration," Andreas Karlsson, Surikat's CEO, commented.

Thomas Byran, Managing Director of TSG Terminal UK, also highlighted, "I am very happy to have started this journey with Surikat, and for the good cooperation and support during the past year. We are really looking forward to implementing the new TOS next year and working together to make big steps forward in our IT development. The TOS system will make a big difference to our customers, keeping proper track of all units, digitalising customs handling. And when we implement the new terminal layout, we can make full use of Lynx, even adding in automated gates."
