TT-Line upgrades its Trelleborg-Klaipėda service

The ferry line has taken into operation the ro-ro vessel Barbara Krahulik which after a visit in the Remontowa shipyard will start sailing as Marco Polo on the route in question as of end-January.

The 1993-built ship is 150.4 m-long and 23.4 m-wide, offering 1,850 lane metres of cargo capacity.

TT-Line linked Trelleborg with Klaipėda in mid-2018 with the use of two ro-paxes, Tom Sawyer and Robin Hood. The addition of Marco Polo will increase the service's frequency up to five weekly round trip crossings.

Additionally, TT-Line will open a new terminal in the Lithuanian seaport. Thanks to the move, the company says, the truck traffic it serves will omit the city centre.
