The first train set, comprising 43 forty-foot containers loaded with timber, has been dispatched from Kyiv and will arrive in Xi'an after an 18-day-long journey.

Ukrainian Railways does not rule out turning it into a regular service.

This year, over 50 import trains from China have come to Ukraine by mid-October.
