FCT sells LT to TransContainer

The Russian rail container carrier and terminal operator has purchased the inland Logistika-Terminal (LT) from the First Container Terminal (FCT), part of Global Ports, for approx. €20m.

The 2010-launched and 90 ha-big LT is located just outside St. Petersburg. The facility can handle up to 200k TEU/year, offers 10k laden TEU of storage and 4.5k empty TEU of container depot capacity, respectively, as well as 16.5k m2 of covered warehouse space (of which 10.5k m2 is class A).

In 2017, as much as 172k TEUs and 324kt of break-bulk were handled at Logistika-Terminal.
